A middle-aged man, Eze Kingsley, has been sentenced to death by a Rivers State High Court in Port Harcourt for the murder of mortuary owner, David Wagbara.

Kingsley, a petroleum tanker conductor, fatally stabbed Wagbara on December 7, 2018, in the Rumuosi community along the East-West Road in the Obio/Akpor local government area of Rivers State following an argument.

The dispute began when Wagbara asked Kingsley to move his tanker, which was blocking the entrance to his mortuary and disrupting his business.

The confrontation escalated, leading to Kingsley stabbing Wagbara, who later died from his injuries.

In delivering the judgment, Justice Omah Diepreye concluded that the prosecution had successfully proven the case beyond a reasonable doubt.
