Rapper Killer Mike Takes Legal Action Against Grammys Arrest

Killer Mike has filed a lawsuit following his arrest at last year’s Grammy Awards, holding the private security firms hired for the event responsible.

The rapper claims he was unlawfully detained and humiliated in public, despite having valid credentials and being an award winner at the ceremony.

In legal documents obtained by TMZ, Killer Mike states that security personnel stopped him as he approached the red carpet for photos and interviews.

He accuses the two security companies, S&S Labor Force Inc. and JRM Private Security, of granting their employees excessive authority, which led to what he describes as an unlawful “citizen’s arrest.”

Killer Mike claims the security staff physically restrained him in front of spectators, causing emotional distress and embarrassment.

He alleges their actions led to his arrest by law enforcement, forcing him to spend hours in jail and miss the opportunity to present a Grammy award during the live broadcast.

Though he was released from custody and prosecutors later chose not to pursue charges, Killer Mike argues the incident damaged his reputation and career. He is now seeking damages from the security companies for what he describes as undue humiliation and professional harm.
