The Prince of Wales shares a close relationship with his cousins, including Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, the daughters of Sarah Ferguson and Prince Andrew.
During their childhood, the royal cousins often spent summers together at Balmoral, enjoying the vast Scottish estate and getting into plenty of mischief.
Reflecting on those early years, Peter Phillips, son of Princess Anne, shared on Good Morning Britain in 2016: “We had great fun growing up on our holidays at Sandringham, Balmoral, and Windsor, and we were incredibly lucky to share so much of our childhood with [Queen Elizabeth II].”
He added: “There was quite a gang of us, and we caused plenty of mayhem and chaos, though luckily, I don’t think we broke too much.”
Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie also bonded with Prince William and Prince Harry during ski trips, often accompanied by their mothers, Princess Diana and Sarah, Duchess of York, who were close friends.
One heartwarming moment from July 1989 shows a young Prince William, then seven, pushing his baby cousin Beatrice, just one year old, in a pram.
The future king sported bright scarlet shorts, a white T-shirt, and yellow sunglasses as he sweetly cared for his younger cousin.
