On Monday, the Princess of Wales delighted royal fans by sharing portraits drawn by her three children—Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis—on social media.
Prince Louis’ artwork was a vibrant sketch in bright red, while Princess Charlotte’s creation featured shades of blue, purple, and green in a playful pencil sketch. However, it was Prince George’s lifelike drawing, seemingly depicting Kate seated in an armchair, that truly captured attention.
Kate, 43, also included her own pencil sketch, which appeared to show her son Prince Louis with his eyes closed. With a university background in History of Art, Kate has long been admired for her artistic skills, particularly in family portrait photography.

The Princess shared this creative update as part of her early years initiative, which focuses on promoting positive physical, emotional, and cognitive development in children up to age five. In her caption, she emphasized the importance of fostering creativity and connection:
“The @earlychildhood Shaping Us Framework describes the social and emotional skills that begin developing in early childhood. These skills shape how we manage thoughts, communicate, relate to others, and explore the world around us throughout our lives.”
She continued: “Drawing portraits with children can offer moments of connection, creativity, and—most importantly—fun!” In a nod to her children’s artistic endeavors, Kate added a paintbrush emoji followed by her kids’ names.
Royal fans were quick to share their amazement in the comments. Many praised George for his natural talent. One fan commented, “George got it from his mom! Someone convinces the princess to show us her sketches—we know she’s a talented artist!” Another added, “Aww, Prince George is so talented. I could never have created such an elegant portrait at 11 years old.” A third fan wrote, “If George drew the portrait of Kate in the chair, wow—he’s really gifted.”
This isn’t the first time George has impressed with his artwork. In December 2022, he wowed fans with a watercolor Christmas card featuring a reindeer and robins. One fan remarked at the time, “So much talent for a little guy! Takes after his mummy!” Another added, “Gosh, another talented artist in the family! Grandpa Charles must be proud!”
