Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia have delighted royal fans by sharing the first photographs of their four children, following the birth of their daughter, Princess Ines, last Friday.

The couple posted two heartwarming images on their Instagram account on Wednesday, expressing gratitude for the public’s kind messages.

The first sepia-toned photo features the couple’s three sons—Prince Alexander, eight, Prince Gabriel, seven, and Prince Julian, three—adoringly gazing at their newborn sister. In the sweet moment, Gabriel holds Ines on his lap, Alexander gently holds her hand, and Julian lovingly strokes her head.

“It turned out to be a perfect little quartet,” the proud parents captioned the post, adding: “A big and warm thanks for all the kind congratulations for our little Ines.”

In the second image, Prince Julian is captured kissing the top of his baby sister’s head.

The post was met with an outpouring of love, with one follower commenting, “Wonderful picture, so sweet—brothers with their little sister,” while another wrote, “Such a beautiful moment.”

Princess Ines was born on February 7 at Danderyd Hospital in Stockholm, and Sofia and her baby were discharged the following day.

King Carl XVI Gustaf, the baby’s grandfather, officially announced her name during a council meeting on Monday, though he briefly stumbled and referred to her as “Inse” instead of “Ines.”

The baby’s full name is Princess Ines Marie Lilian Silvia, Duchess of Västerbotten. Eighth in line to the Swedish throne, Princess Ines does not hold the HRH title, in keeping with the king’s 2019 decision to streamline royal titles within the household.
