On Saturday, February 1, U.S. President Donald Trump ordered military airstrikes targeting a senior member of ISIS, who had threatened the United States.
Trump confirmed that the airstrike successfully killed the ISIS leader and his associates, who had been hiding in caves in Somalia.
The president shared the news on X, stating that the operation destroyed the caves and eliminated the terrorists. Trump emphasized that the U.S. would continue to target any ISIS member or terrorist who poses a threat to America.
In his post, Trump wrote: “This morning, I ordered precision military airstrikes on the senior ISIS attack planner and other terrorists he recruited and led in Somalia. These killers, who we found hiding in caves, threatened the United States and our allies.
“The strikes destroyed the caves they lived in and killed many terrorists without, in any way, harming civilians. Our military has targeted this ISIS attack planner for years, but Biden and his cronies wouldn’t act quickly enough to get the job done. I did! The message to ISIS and all others who would attack Americans is this: ‘We will find you, and we will kill you.’”
