A mother in Ondo State has been accused of physically assaulting her young daughter for not being able to count from 1 to 20.
According to reports, the woman allegedly used a wooden spatula to hit the nursery-school-aged girl, leaving visible welts on her face, neck, and arms. Bloodstains were also seen on the child’s dress.
A concerned neighbor shared photos of the injured girl on Facebook, urging NGOs and relevant authorities to intervene.
