Kenyan authorities are investigating a tragic murder-suicide case after a woman reportedly killed her three children before ending her life.
The incident occurred on the morning of February 11, 2025, in the Githogoro area near Runda, Nairobi.
The woman, identified as Monica Junior Wa Githogoro, allegedly took the lives of her children using bedsheets and then hanged herself inside their home.
Her husband, Junior Wa Githogoro, discovered the bodies upon returning from a night shift and immediately alerted neighbors, who contacted the police.
Gigiri Deputy Police Commander Fredrick Alata confirmed that a suicide note was recovered at the scene. Authorities are investigating the note to determine its authorship and the motive behind the tragedy.
The bodies have been transferred to the Kenyatta Teaching and Referral Morgue, where a postmortem will be conducted.
