Ghanaian pastor, Apostle Solomon Oduro, founder of Solomon Oduro Ministries, has officially announced the end of his marriage to Rev. Charlotte Oduro, a well-known marriage counselor.
In 2022, Rev. Charlotte Oduro sparked controversy when she advised women not to leave their husbands over infidelity but instead welcome them with affection, good food, and intimacy upon their return.
Speaking as a guest on Accra-based Okay FM with host Abieku Santana, she urged women to avoid nagging or pushing their husbands away with complaints. She also emphasized the importance of being understanding rather than quick to judge.
“When your husband returns home from cheating, let him settle, give him good sex and food. Cheating is wrong, but we have all made mistakes. Let’s listen before we judge. Sometimes, their actions may be a mistake rather than a deliberate betrayal,” she stated.
However, in a press release issued on Monday, February 10, 2025, Apostle Oduro confirmed that their marriage had been dissolved after years of separation.
“After much prayer, discussion, and careful consideration, irreconcilable differences have necessitated this move,” the statement read.
The release further revealed that the couple had been living apart for the past three years and had officially ended their marriage through traditional means last year.
As a public figure and spiritual leader, Apostle Oduro felt it was important to formally address the matter to prevent misinformation or unnecessary speculation.
“I humbly request that this sensitive transition be met with understanding,” he stated.
He also called on loved ones, well-wishers, and the Christian community to keep both himself and Rev. Charlotte Oduro in their prayers as they navigate this period of change.
“May the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guide all hearts and minds during this season of transition,” the statement concluded.
