New details have surfaced regarding Liam Payne’s tragic passing, with a recently released report disclosing the singer’s blood alcohol concentration and substances present in his system when he fell from a hotel balcony in Argentina last October.
According to the National Criminal and Correctional Prosecutor’s Office No. 14, Payne’s blood alcohol concentration (BAC) was recorded at 2.7 grams per liter, equivalent to 0.27%.
At this level, individuals typically experience severe impairment, including confusion, disorientation, and dizziness. Alcohol.org warns that a BAC of 0.3% can result in alcohol poisoning, while 0.4% is considered potentially fatal.
The toxicology report also detected multiple substances in Payne’s system, including cocaine metabolites, methylecgonine, benzoylecgonine, cocaethylene, and the antidepressant sertraline.
Tests confirmed the presence of cocaine, crack, ketamine, and alcohol, indicating a combination of drugs at the time of his death.
