Senator Ned Nwoko has dismissed rumors suggesting that he plans to marry actress Chika Ike as his seventh wife and that he is the father of her unborn child.
Social media has been flooded with speculation that Nwoko, who is married to actress Regina Daniels, is responsible for Chika Ike’s pregnancy, which she recently announced.
In a statement posted by his media team on his social media platform this afternoon, Nwoko labeled the rumors as baseless and entirely false.
He also refuted reports that he had made comments regarding the ongoing divorce drama between singer 2Face Idibia and his wife, Annie.
The statement reads: ‘’Our attention has been drawn to recent false rumors alleging that Senator Prince Ned Munir Nwoko is planning to marry Nollywood actress Chika Ike as his seventh wife and that she is pregnant with his child.
“We categorically state that these claims are entirely baseless and a product of malicious speculation. Similarly, reports suggesting he commented on 2Face Idibia and polygamy are completely untrue.
“As a public figure, and with his wife also being an actress, it is not uncommon for bloggers seeking attention to fabricate such stories. However, Senator Nwoko is currently focused on his national duties and fulfilling his political mandate, leaving no room for distractions.
“This office remains available for journalists to verify information, and we remind media practitioners of the consequences of spreading fake news. The public is advised to disregard these rumors and rely only on official statements from his office.’’
