Ex-Man U Coach, Erik ten Hag, Spoke Publicly For The First Time Since Exit

Erik ten Hag has spoken publicly for the first time since departing Manchester United four months ago.

The Dutch manager has been without a club since being replaced by Rúben Amorim following a difficult start to the season. However, results at Old Trafford have not improved under Amorim, with the Red Devils currently sitting 15th in the table.

Ten Hag was previously linked to the Borussia Dortmund job after Nuri Şahin was sacked in January, but Niko Kovač was ultimately appointed. There has also been speculation about a possible return to Ajax, though Francesco Farioli’s side currently leads the Eredivisie.

Despite his exit from United, Ten Hag remains a highly sought-after coach following his success in winning both the Carabao Cup and FA Cup in his two seasons at the club.

Now, for the first time since leaving United, Ten Hag is set to speak out in an exclusive interview with the SEG Stories podcast.

The full interview will be released on Tuesday, but a teaser clip aired on Monday, where the former United boss discussed his future and what he misses most about England.

“I had already decided for myself, ‘Okay, I’m not doing anything until July 1,'” Ten Hag revealed.

“If there’s one thing I miss, it’s Old Trafford. You’re always working towards a dot on the horizon, but you never quite reach it. We’ve had many highs, but there is always room for improvement—good is not enough, you can always do better.”
