The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh arrived for their six-day trip, and for her first outfit, Sophie, 60, opted for a long-sleeved midi dress featuring her boldest print yet.
She wore the ‘Airmail floral-print woven midi dress’ by Mary Katrantzou, which boasted a pleated skirt with an eye-catching teal, cream, and mustard floral design.
The dress also featured a pussy-bow neckline, a detail added from when Sophie last wore the piece in March 2024 at a Buckingham Palace reception for Korean War veterans, where she wore it collarless.
The dress stood out for its dropped skirt design, giving the illusion of two waistlines.
For accessories, the Duchess kept it minimal with pearl-embellished patent pumps from Jimmy Choo and a teal satin mini bag. Her hair was styled in a classic updo, and amber drop earrings completed the ensemble.
On the first day of the trip, Sophie wore the dress while meeting Colonel Commandant of the Brigade of Gurkhas, Major General Strickland DSO MBE, British Ambassador to Nepal Rob Fenn, and Nepal’s President Ram Chandra Paudel and his wife Sabita at the Presidential Palace.
