Disgraced R. Kelly Sued By Six Victims Over Unpaid Multi-Million Dollar Judgment

Discredited singer R. Kelly is facing a new lawsuit from six alleged victims who claim he has yet to pay the bulk of a $10.3 million judgment awarded against him in 2023.

According to court documents obtained by TMZ, the plaintiffs—Lizette Martinez, Lisa Van Allen, Kelly Rogers, Faith Rogers, Roderick Gartrell, and Gem Pratts—assert they have received less than $500,000 collectively and are still owed over $9.9 million.

The judgment stems from allegations that Kelly and his former record label, Universal Music, disrupted a 2018 screening of the Lifetime docuseries Surviving R. Kelly, which featured testimonies from his victims. Now, they are seeking the unpaid balance from both Kelly and Universal Music.

Although the judgment was issued in August 2023, Kelly has contested it, arguing he was unaware of the lawsuit and should not be held responsible. His attorney, Jennifer Bonjean, told TMZ that the default judgment was entered before she took over his legal representation and confirmed that an appeal is pending.

Currently serving a 30-year prison sentence for sex crimes, Kelly continues to face legal and financial challenges, while his victims fight for the compensation they are owed.
