Karon Makhai Cann, known as Ronny Doe, has tragically been shot dead in Maryland at the age of 24.
Ronny, who was the ex-boyfriend of TV personality Chrisean Rock, passed away around 7:10 p.m. on February 3, 2025. His death comes just weeks after he publicly claimed to be the father of Chrisean Rock’s son, disputing rapper Blueface’s paternity.
Ronny’s uncle shared the heartbreaking news on Facebook, expressing deep sorrow over the loss.
“This feels like a nightmare. I’ve been crying all night. I’m not supposed to bury you, nephew, you were supposed to bury me,” he wrote.
“Karon, before Elijah was born, you were the closest I had to a son. I haven’t felt like this since I lost my father. I watched you grow up and was there every step of the way. It hurts so badly that your life was taken, but I know you’re at peace now. I’m praying for justice so we can all have closure. I love you and will truly miss you. R.I.P Karon (Nephew).”
According to police, Ronny Doe was found fatally shot and lying in front of a home in Severn, Maryland, located about 25 minutes from Baltimore.
Officers administered first aid at the scene before paramedics transported him to the University of Maryland Baltimore Washington Medical Center, where he later died from his injuries.
Authorities are treating the case as a homicide and believe the shooting was a targeted attack.
