Celebrity chef Jameson Stocks has revealed details of his secret relationship with Kerry Katona, claiming she ended things on the day of The Vivienne’s funeral, leaving him heartbroken.
Jameson, 41, told MailOnline that he dated Kerry, 44, for two months following her split from ex-fiancé Ryan Mahoney, with whom she had been engaged for six years. According to the Michelin-starred chef, Kerry confessed her love for him, and they discussed marriage and their future together.
However, Jameson was devastated when the former Atomic Kitten star suddenly ended their relationship the same day as the funeral of his close friend, The Vivienne, a RuPaul’s Drag Race winner who tragically passed away last month.
Jameson alleged that Kerry refused to attend the service to avoid being photographed after news of their relationship went public. He claimed that Kerry wanted to keep their romance a secret to secure a lucrative spot on Celebs Go Dating, a deal promised by E4.
“I don’t want to be seen as a fool,” Jameson said. “One day she told me she loved me and wanted to marry me. She was even telling my children she loved them and came to my son’s birthday party on January 25. Then, all of a sudden, she dumped me. That’s just wrong.”
He added, “On the day of James’s funeral, I went to get her daughter some Jellycats because she loves them. Minutes after I got home, a story broke about our relationship, and Kerry said she couldn’t go to the funeral because of the paps. She went home crying, and that was the last time I saw her.”
Jameson claimed Kerry blocked and unblocked him repeatedly after ending their relationship. He also said they had started dating in November after connecting over Instagram, shortly after her split from Ryan. Despite their romance progressing quickly and involving family introductions, Kerry and her team downplayed the relationship to protect her Celebs Go Dating contract.
Kerry, a mother of five, shares daughters Molly, 23, and Lilly, 22, with Westlife’s Brian McFadden, as well as Heidi, 17, and Max, 16, from her marriage to Mark Croft. She also shares her youngest daughter, 10-year-old Dylan-Jorge, with her late ex-husband George Kay, who died from a drug overdose in 2019.
Jameson claimed they became deeply involved in each other’s lives, spending time together at Kerry’s home and with her children. He said Kerry wanted to keep the relationship under wraps to avoid losing the Celebs Go Dating contract.
Kerry’s split from Ryan was due to what she described as a “breach of trust.” In November, she said: “We are no longer together, and it’s been a tough week. There’s been a breach of trust between us.”
Jameson, who overcame a difficult childhood and homelessness, said he connected with Kerry over their shared life struggles. After leaving home at 13, Jameson built a successful career as a restauranteur and became the youngest recipient of The National Restaurant of The Year award. His life story rights have since been purchased by Brad Pitt, with plans for a Hollywood film about his journey.
