New US Vice President JD Vance has asserted that President Donald Trump achieved more in just five days than former President Joe Biden did in four years.
Vance made this claim on Sunday, January 26, during an interview on CBS’ “Face the Nation.”
He argued that several of Trump’s initial actions in office would significantly help reduce prices for Americans.
“Prices will come down, but it will take some time. The president has been in office for only five days, and I believe that in those five days, he’s accomplished more than Joe Biden did in four years,” Vance said.
He pointed out that Trump had already signed multiple executive orders aimed at lowering energy prices.
Vance expressed confidence that consumers would eventually see lower prices at the gas pump and in grocery stores, though it would take time.
Some Democrats, however, have ridiculed Trump regarding grocery prices since his inauguration.
Rep. Eric Swalwell, D-Calif., tweeted in early January, “I don’t care if Donald Trump wants to buy Greenland. I just want to know what he’s going to do to lower the cost of groceries.”
