Princess Kate is preparing to return to Windsor after spending the festive season in Norfolk with her family.
Kate, who will turn 43 on January 9, is expected to have a quieter, more intimate celebration following a Christmas and New Year spent at her country home with Prince William and their three children—Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.
On Christmas Day, Kate looked radiant as she greeted well-wishers at Sandringham, joining the extended royal family for their traditional Christmas gathering.
She wore a stunning emerald green tailored coat by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen, which featured a cinched waist and a timeless silhouette. She paired the coat with a Black Watch tartan scarf, a matching green hat with a bow, black suede boots, and her Grace Han ‘Love Letter Top Handle’ bag.
Looking Ahead
The past year has been a challenging one for Kate, especially following her cancer diagnosis. Royal experts predict that she will approach her birthday with a new perspective on life. As both Kate and Prince William prepare for their future roles as King and Queen, they are mindful of their responsibilities and the impact on their family.
“Last year was exceptional, with William stepping up into a solo global statesman role, but moving forward, I believe Catherine will spend more time by his side,” said Kate’s biographer, Robert Jobson. “They will balance their duties with their children’s education, but there will be moments when they must prioritize the country over family.”

As Prince William resumes his public duties this month, including overseas visits, Kate will remain at home with their children.
