A 32-year-old woman, Shimoné Fluks, was allegedly stabbed to death by her boyfriend in South Africa.
The advocacy group Women For Change released a statement on Monday, December 30, 2024, confirming the tragic incident. According to the statement, Shimoné was killed in Bersig, Montagu, on December 14, 2024.
Reports indicate that Shimoné ran to a neighbor’s house for help after being attacked, but she collapsed from severe stab wounds to her neck. Emergency medical personnel arrived but declared her dead at the scene.
Her 32-year-old boyfriend fled the scene but was arrested the following day. It is alleged that he had been abusive in the past and had previously stabbed Shimoné during another altercation.
“Shimoné leaves behind her child. We are heartbroken over the loss of such a beautiful soul. Fly high, Sister,” the statement concluded.
