Queen Rania of Jordan delighted fans by sharing a beautiful new photograph with her youngest son, Prince Hashem, in celebration of his 20th birthday.

Taking to Instagram, the Jordanian royal posted a touching tribute, writing: “Happy birthday my dearest Hashem,” in both English and Arabic.

In the heartwarming snapshot, Queen Rania, 54, and Prince Hashem appear relaxed and happy, embracing warmly in casual hoodies.

A Double Celebration for the Jordanian Royals

Prince Hashem, who turned 20 on January 30, is the youngest of King Abdullah II and Queen Rania’s four children, following:

  • Crown Prince Hussein, 30
  • Princess Iman, 28
  • Princess Salma, 24

He also shares his birthday with his father, King Abdullah II, to whom Queen Rania dedicated another loving message.

In Arabic, she wrote: “Every year, you are the dearest to our hearts,”
before adding in English: “Happy birthday! You mean the world to us.”

The Jordanian Royal Family

Since ascending the throne in 1999, King Abdullah and Queen Rania have been the faces of Jordan’s monarchy, with their children gradually stepping into public roles.

  • Crown Prince Hussein, born in 1994, is Jordan’s heir apparent and has been taking on increasing royal responsibilities. He married Rajwa Al Saif, a Saudi Arabian architect, in June 2023, and the couple welcomed their first child, Princess Iman bint Hussein, in August 2024.
  • Princess Iman, born in 1996, pursued a degree in strategic design and management at the Parsons School of Design in New York. She married businessman Jameel Alexander Thermiótis in March 2023, and the couple is currently expecting their first child.
  • Princess Salma, born in 2000, made history in 2020 as the first female jet pilot in the Jordanian military. She holds a BA in Archaeology from the University of Southern California and serves as a first lieutenant in the Jordanian Armed Forces.

Prince Hashem’s Role in the Royal Family

Born on January 30, 2005, Prince Hashem is currently second in line to the Jordanian throne. Like his sister Princess Salma, he has also joined the Jordanian Armed Forces, where he serves as a second lieutenant.

With his milestone birthday now marked, the young prince is expected to continue serving his country while stepping further into the royal spotlight.
