The Duke of York was spotted enjoying a morning ride in Windsor, marking his first appearance at the stables since missing Christmas at Sandringham with the royal family.
Prince Andrew, 64, was seen driving his Range Rover from his home at Royal Lodge to the paddock on the Windsor estate.
This sighting comes just weeks after the Duke was caught up in a scandal involving his links to alleged Chinese spy Yang Tengbo.
Due to the controversy, Andrew stayed in Windsor and did not join the King and Queen at Sandringham for Christmas, nor did he attend the monarch’s festive lunch at Buckingham Palace.
Mr. Yang, who denies any involvement in espionage, has been banned from entering the UK.
He was a founding partner of the Chinese branch of Andrew’s Pitch@Palace initiative and had visited several royal residences at the Duke’s invitation. Andrew’s office has stated that the Duke “ceased all contact” with Yang when concerns about him first emerged.
