A High Court in Akwanga, Nasarawa State, has sentenced Gambo Adamu to death by hanging for the murder of Hassan Ahmed and the illegal harvesting of his organs.
The judgment was delivered on Tuesday, December 31, 2024, by Justice Mustapha Ramat, who found the defendant guilty of the heinous crime committed in Akwanga Local Government Area.
Following the verdict, Nasarawa State Attorney-General, Dr. Labaran Shuaibu Magaji, hailed the decision as a victory for justice and a deterrent to those contemplating similar acts.
Dr. Magaji emphasized that the severity of the crime warranted the death sentence, underscoring the state’s commitment to upholding justice and curbing criminal behavior.
