As the countdown begins for the debut of Meghan Markle’s new Netflix lifestyle series, With Love, Meghan, an exciting detail has emerged.
According to Meghan’s friend and guest on the show, Mindy Kaling, the Duchess of Sussex will host a “children’s tea party” in one of the episodes.
The charming scenes may include appearances by Prince Archie, six, and Princess Lilibet, three, the children of Meghan and Prince Harry.
In an interview with Variety, Mindy Kaling, star of The Mindy Project, praised Meghan’s creativity and thoughtfulness in conceptualizing the highly anticipated series, which premieres on January 15.
“She can do anything,” Mindy said. “We filmed it about ten months ago when I was just two months postpartum. I don’t want to give away too much, but we did a tea party for kids. Meghan is so thoughtful and creative, especially with things related to the home. She even has a garden and genuinely enjoys gardening. It was so much fun for someone like me.”
The trailer offers a glimpse of Meghan and Mindy catching up in Meghan’s kitchen, sharing their mutual love for food. Another clip reveals Meghan showcasing the beautifully decorated tea party, complete with colorful balloons and wildflowers.
At the Golden Globes red carpet, Mindy shared more insights into her friendship with Meghan and even mentioned Prince Harry’s culinary skills. Speaking to Deadline, she said: “I think I’m an okay cook, but Meghan blew me out of the water. Her recipes are so accessible, and she has a garden from scratch, which I could never do. She also has chickens—something I’d definitely fail at—but it’s all very inspiring.”
On Harry’s involvement, she added: “Harry was there, though he didn’t cook for me. But I’ve heard he’s quite good in the kitchen and knows his way around it.”
The eight-part series will feature Meghan alongside some of her closest friends, sharing personal cooking and lifestyle tips while engaging in heartfelt conversations. Notable guests include acclaimed chefs Roy Choi and Alice Waters, as well as special friends like Mindy Kaling.
With Love, Meghan promises to be a delightful blend of culinary inspiration and personal insights, showcasing Meghan’s creativity and warmth in a new light.
