Man Accused of S*xual Assault on Shetland Pony Appears in Court

Damion Ogeare, 43, has appeared in court following allegations of breaking into a farm and engaging in s*xual activity with a Shetland pony.

The incident allegedly occurred at Maylands Farm in Trowbridge, Wiltshire, on January 24 of last year. Ogeare is accused of trespassing into a stable containing two Shetland ponies and s*xually assaulting a female pony named Cassieopia Wooley.

During a plea and trial preparation hearing at Salisbury Crown Court, Ogeare spoke only to confirm his name. The case was adjourned to allow him additional time to seek legal aid, meaning he did not formally plead to the charges.

Prosecutor Christina Norgan outlined the accusations during an earlier hearing at the Magistrates’ Court, stating that Ogeare faces two charges: s*xual penetration with a living animal and reckless trespassing with intent to commit a s*xual offence.

Ogeare, dressed in a black coat and sherpa hat, had previously denied the charges during an earlier proceeding.

The court has scheduled his next appearance for February 27 at Salisbury Crown Court.
