Lady Who Married Suspended Catholic Priest Breaks Silence

Dora Chichah, who recently married Rev. Fr. Daniel Okanatotor Oghenerukevwe, a Catholic priest from the Diocese of Warri, Delta State, has opened up about how they met.

Fr. Daniel was suspended by the Diocese of Warri for marrying in the United States without completing the formal process of being released from his priestly vows.

According to the Diocese, Fr. Daniel had requested to be relieved of his canonical obligations on November 30, 2024. However, the process was incomplete when he proceeded with the marriage.

The couple tied the knot in Dallas, Texas, and photos from their wedding quickly went viral.

Speaking during a testimony session at Pastor Jerry Eze’s Streams of Joy International Church in Dallas, Dora shared her journey to finding love. She introduced herself as a single mother of three who had prayed for a husband for over nine years.

“What God cannot do does not exist. My name is Dora, and I’m giving my testimony from Streams of Joy, Dallas,” she began. “Since 2020, I have been on this altar, believing God for a life partner. I kept praying, saying, ‘God, settle me.’”

Dora recalled a prophetic moment in July 2021 when Pastor Jerry Eze declared that God was preparing her for her breakthrough. She continued to pray and follow the teachings, dancing and claiming every prophetic word for women seeking marriage.

In 2024, Dora said she felt a clear direction from God to relocate to Dallas, Texas. There, she reconnected with Daniel, whom she had known from their childhood.

Daniel shared with her that he had been praying for four years for clarity about his vocation and had fasted for three months, asking God to reveal his life partner. Dora, having been on her own prayer journey, found their paths aligning.

Their relationship progressed quickly, and within three months, they completed marriage counseling and celebrated their traditional, court, and white weddings at Streams of Joy in Dallas.

The testimony video included pictures from their wedding day, showcasing their joy.

Meanwhile, Mary Okanatotor, who identified herself as Daniel’s biological sister, defended the marriage, stating it was the best decision for her brother, who had been struggling with loneliness.
