In a rare and intimate interview with Tatler, Lady Kitty Spencer, Princess Diana’s niece, shared candid insights into her life as a mother with her toddler daughter, Athena.
Alongside her twin sisters Eliza and Amelia, 34-year-old Kitty revealed details about Athena’s birth, stating that her little girl is a “little Taurus” born in April. Given the Taurus zodiac sign ranges from 20 April to 20 May, Athena’s birthdate falls between 20 April and 30 April.
When asked about Athena’s personality, Kitty described her as “very outdoorsy and like a spinning top.” She further shared that her daughter has a special bond with her aunties, saying, “She certainly has two doting, laughing aunts who say they are ‘steering her in our direction.'” Kitty joked about the unique situation, saying, “She doesn’t think there’s an age gap… So there’s actually a triplet there for them.”
The mother-of-one also touched upon her own life change since becoming a parent, stating, “I do a lot less than I did now that I’ve got my little girl.” Kitty revealed that she’s become more selective with her commitments, choosing only to participate in activities that truly bring her joy. “It’s not really free time any more,” she said. However, the balance between work and family seems to be working for her, as she shared, “I’m happy with the balance.”
Kitty, who tied the knot with 65-year-old Michael Lewis in July 2021, has been relatively private about her personal life. The couple announced the arrival of their daughter on social media to mark Mother’s Day in 2024, sharing a heartwarming beach clip with the caption, “It’s the joy of my life to be your mummy, little one.
