LA Wildfire: Prince Harry And Meghan’s Quiet Donation

Beyond assisting food banks and offering shelter to friends at their Montecito home, Prince Harry and Meghan made a significant contribution to the relief efforts.

Through their Archewell Foundation, the couple donated to the Altadena Girls Fire Recovery Fund, an initiative aimed at helping teenage girls recover from the effects of the wildfires.

Meghan personally visited the fund, arriving with clothes, beauty products, and lunch for volunteers. She also spent time with affected families, speaking directly with them and assisting girls with shopping.

The Altadena Girls Fire Recovery Fund was founded by 14-year-old Avery Colvert to help teenage girls “regain their sense of self and confidence” following the fires.

A statement on the charity’s website explains: “This fundraiser aims to restore normalcy for the teenage victims affected by this unfortunate event. Avery, witnessing the profound impact on her friends and schoolmates, has embarked on this mission to provide essentials that are crucial for them to feel like themselves again.”

The initiative focuses on providing clothing, personal items, and beauty products—everyday essentials to help teenagers rebuild their lives. The charity expressed gratitude to Archewell Foundation on Instagram, offering a “special thanks” for their support.

This act of kindness comes shortly after the announcement that Meghan’s Netflix show, With Love, Meghan, has been postponed due to the wildfires.

As of January 15, the wildfires in Los Angeles have claimed 25 lives, forced hundreds of thousands of residents to evacuate, and caused extensive damage, with over 12,000 structures destroyed, including homes and businesses.

The Sussexes’ involvement highlights their commitment to supporting communities in times of crisis while maintaining a low profile amid their ongoing projects and public engagements.
