King Charles and Queen Camilla spent part of their winter break in Scotland on Sunday, attending a church service at Crathie Kirk.
The royal couple, both in high spirits, were driven through the snow to the service at the picturesque Church of Scotland, located near Balmoral Castle.
Charles, 76, wore a tweed jacket and waved from the backseat alongside one of the Queen’s companions, Lady Sarah Keswick. Camilla, 77, stayed warm in a dark wool coat and a wide-brimmed furry hat, braving the chilly weather.
Crathie Kirk, blanketed in snow from recent Highland snowfall, looked like a winter wonderland. This small parish church is a favorite place of worship for the British royal family when staying at Balmoral.
It also holds special significance as the venue for Princess Anne’s wedding to Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence on December 12, 1992.
The intimate ceremony, attended by only 30 guests, was held in Scotland due to the Church of Scotland’s acceptance of second marriages for divorcees.
Following the ceremony, the couple celebrated with family and friends at Craigowan Lodge on the Balmoral estate.
