Queen Rania of Jordan radiated elegance in a striking new photograph shared to celebrate her husband, King Abdullah II’s, 63rd birthday on Thursday.
Taking to Instagram, the stylish royal posted a heartfelt tribute to her husband of 21 years. In Arabic, she wrote: “Every year you are the dearest to our hearts,” followed by an English message: “Happy birthday! You mean the world to us.”
The 54-year-old Queen dazzled in a sunshine-yellow Oscar de la Renta dress, a brand favored by royals.
The fit-and-flare design featured delicate tie-front details and a fresh daffodil hue that made it truly eye-catching. Priced at $3,178, the dress accentuated her silhouette with a fitted bodice and cinched waist, flowing into a full, voluminous skirt.
To complete her elegant look, Queen Rania paired her dress with Aquazzura’s Bellezza 105 Satin Mary Jane Pumps in bright yellow and carried a vibrant floral-print handbag. As always, her signature glossy waves were impeccably styled, adding to her effortlessly regal appearance.
The Love Story
Rania Al-Yassin, then 22, met Prince Abdullah bin Al-Hussein, then 31, at a dinner party in January 1993. The two had an instant connection, leading to a whirlwind romance—they were engaged within two months and married just two months later.
The couple exchanged vows on 10 June 1993 at Zahran Palace in Amman, Jordan, in the presence of King Hussein and Queen Noor. Zahran Palace had been the home of the groom’s late grandmother, Queen Zain Al Sharaf, until her passing in 1994.
Together, they have four children: Crown Prince Hussein, Princess Iman, Princess Salma, and Prince Hashem. Beyond their role as devoted parents, the royal couple remains a strong team, dedicated to promoting peace in the Middle East and fostering international relations.
