James Middleton Shares Heartfelt Tribute To Sister Kate On Her 43rd Birthday

James Middleton was among those who reacted warmly to Prince William’s touching public tribute to the Princess of Wales on her 43rd birthday.

In a rare and emotional gesture, Prince William shared a heartfelt message on social media, praising Kate as “the most incredible wife and mother” after a challenging year in which she was diagnosed with cancer.

The message, signed “W,” expressed his and their children’s deep love for her.

“We love you,” William wrote, alongside a previously unseen black-and-white photo of Kate. The image, taken by Matt Porteous last summer in Windsor, shows the Princess looking relaxed and radiant, smiling with her hands in her jean pockets and wearing a gingham scarf.

In response, Kate’s brother James Middleton left a simple yet sweet comment under the post, adding birthday and heart emojis to show his love.

William’s message read: “To the most incredible wife and mother, The strength you’ve shown over the last year has been remarkable. George, Charlotte, Louis, and I are so proud of you. Happy Birthday, Catherine. We love you. W.”

Kate is celebrating her birthday quietly at home in Windsor. While Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis attended school during the day, the family plans to mark the occasion with a private evening celebration.

The past year has been particularly difficult for the Princess of Wales, who underwent abdominal surgery and chemotherapy following her cancer diagnosis. Next week will mark one year since Kate’s hospitalization for surgery, which took place just days after her 42nd birthday.

Prince William, 42, recently described 2024 as “brutal” and “probably the hardest year” of his life, especially with his father, King Charles, also battling cancer.

The royal family joined in celebrating Kate’s birthday, sharing a cheerful message on their official social media account: “Happy Birthday to The Princess of Wales!” accompanied by a birthday cake emoji. The post included a photo of Kate smiling warmly as she accepted bouquets of flowers from well-wishers during her appearance at Sandringham on Christmas Day.
