A Nigerian man, Israel Olufalae, has accused his wife of attempting to poison him to death.
On Friday, January 10, 2025, he posted photos of his wife along with several items wrapped in small nylon bags in a ‘Prayer Warriors’ Facebook group. In the post, he claimed that she had tried to kill him using 17 different poisonous substances.
“My wife brought 17 different poisonous substances trying to kill me. What should I do? Please,” he wrote in the caption.
In response to his post, some group members suggested that he forgive his wife, while others advised him to flee for his safety.
One member, Lura Mavi, questioned the validity of the poisoning claim, suggesting that the substances might be charms intended to make him love her more.
“If it were poison, she wouldn’t buy 17 just for one person, especially her husband, whom she cooks for. Verify the true nature of those substances and then make your decision,” Mavi added.
