Carole Middleton, the mother of the Princess of Wales, is undoubtedly looking forward to welcoming the new year.
After a difficult 2024, marked by her eldest daughter Kate’s cancer diagnosis, January offers Carole a fresh start and a chance to celebrate her favorite month.
In past social media posts shared through Party Pieces, the party supplies company she founded and later sold, Carole, 69, expressed her fondness for January. She once wrote: “It’s no surprise I’ve learned to love January; it’s the start of a new year, a time to put healthy habits in place, and it’s my birthday month—so there’s every good reason to celebrate with loved ones!”

This January will be particularly special for Carole as she celebrates her 70th birthday.
A Reflective Start to the Year
Last January, both Kate’s and Carole’s birthdays—on the 9th and 31st, respectively—were overshadowed by Kate’s abdominal surgery.
Although the procedure, performed at the London Clinic, had been planned, Kate shared during her December 2024 carol service at Westminster Abbey that she had no idea the year would bring such challenges.
How Will Carole Celebrate?
It’s not yet known how Carole will mark her milestone birthday. In the past, she has celebrated abroad, including a memorable 60th birthday on the private Caribbean island of Mustique in 2015.
The event reportedly featured pink champagne, a jazz band, and fireworks. Mustique also hosted a 2014 celebration attended by her then-six-month-old grandson, Prince George.
If the family opts to stay closer to home, they might celebrate at Bucklebury Manor, Carole and Michael Middleton’s stunning £4.7 million Berkshire estate. The 18-acre property boasts seven bedrooms, five reception rooms—including a library and drawing room—a swimming pool, and a tennis court, making it an ideal venue for a grand family gathering.
With her milestone birthday approaching, Carole has every reason to look forward to January, a month of fresh beginnings and cherished celebrations.
