Arsenal Striker, Kai Havertz, Revealed Disturbing Threats Wife Received On Social Media Following Arsenal’s Loss To Man U

Sophia, the wife of Arsenal striker Kai Havertz, has revealed the disturbing threats she received on social media following Arsenal’s FA Cup third-round loss to Manchester United on Sunday, January 12.

The match saw United take the lead through Bruno Fernandes before Gabriel equalized shortly after Diogo Dalot was sent off.

Arsenal’s Martin Odegaard missed a penalty, while Havertz and Declan Rice failed to convert key chances, leading to a 1-1 draw after extra time.

In the penalty shootout, Havertz’s attempt was saved by Altay Bayindir, and United secured a 5-3 victory to advance to the fourth round.

In the aftermath of the defeat, Sophia Havertz shared screenshots of abusive messages sent to her Instagram during the game. One particularly vile message read: “I’m gonna come to your house and slaughter your baby, I’m not joking just wait.”

Expressing her shock, Sophia responded: “For anyone to think it’s okay to write something like this is so shocking to me. I hope you are ashamed of yourself. I’m not sure what to even say, but please, guys, be more respectful. We are better than this.”

When asked about Havertz’s penalty miss, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta offered his support to the player and the team, saying: “To him and to all of them, that I love them, that we all love them individually and as a team. They are a joy. What this team produces every three days is incredible, regardless of what happens. I’m not going to lose sight of that because of results.”

Arteta added: “What can we do better? Let’s try to do it. It’s very difficult to achieve. It’s an emotional part, something related to confidence. But it’s very difficult to ask anything more from our players.”
