A man is accused of abducting a 13-year-old girl and assaulting her in East London.

The incident took place on Banister Road West in Hackney around 4 PM on Wednesday, October 2, when a stranger approached the girl.

He allegedly forced her into his vehicle and then took her to a flat at Banister House on Homerton High Street, where he is said to have assaulted her.

In response, police have released an e-fit image of a man they believe may be connected to the crime.

Detective Superintendent Ralph Coates stated, “This is a very serious allegation and it’s natural that it raises concern within the local community. We want to reassure everyone that our investigation is moving quickly.”

He added, “We are conducting thorough inquiries, including reviewing CCTV footage and engaging in extensive dialogue with the victim, who has endured a terrible experience. We remain committed to supporting her.”

The detective emphasized the need for public assistance in identifying the suspect. “The victim has collaborated with us to create an e-fit of the suspect—do you recognize this image? Any information you may have could be invaluable to our investigation, and we encourage you to come forward.”
