A tourist narrowly escaped serious injury after falling from a train while attempting to take a selfie by hanging out of the carriage.
The young woman, holding onto the railings and leaning back, was struck by a tree branch, which caused her to be yanked from the train.
Disturbing footage shows her arm flailing in panic as she plummets from the train, while the man filming the scene shouts in alarm and fellow passengers watch in shock.
The incident took place on Sunday, December 8, aboard a train in Sri Lanka.
Fortunately, the woman, a visitor from China, was not seriously hurt. The train stopped at the next station, where passengers rushed back to assist her.
She landed in some bushes, and local authorities have since reminded train passengers to stay aware of their surroundings and follow safety precautions.
