The Unusual Christmas Dinner Guests Missing From King Charles’ Celebration This Year

King Charles hosted a festive Christmas Day celebration at Sandringham this year, with members of the royal family gathering in their finest attire.

However, a notable set of Christmas dinner guests were absent from the occasion—and it’s not who royal fans might expect.

Former royal chef Darren McGrady previously revealed to the Mail on Sunday that during his time in the royal kitchen, even the late Queen Elizabeth’s corgis enjoyed a special Christmas meal.

The beloved dogs were served rabbit, beef, or chicken accompanied by cabbage and rice to mark the holiday. At the time, the Queen had 12 corgis in her care.

Following Queen Elizabeth’s passing in 2022, her remaining two corgis were entrusted to Prince Andrew and his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson.

Neither Andrew nor Sarah attended this year’s Christmas festivities at Sandringham, leading royal fans to assume the corgis were also absent from the celebrations.

This marks a departure from the Queen’s tradition of including her cherished pets in the royal Christmas feast, a charming custom fondly remembered by many.
