A touching moment between James, 17, and his older sister Lady Louise, 21, was captured as James looked on with pride while Louise conversed with Reverend Canon Dr. Paul Rhys Williams, who conducted the service.
The siblings share a strong bond, often seen laughing and enjoying each other’s company during public appearances. In 2021, their mother, Duchess Sophie, shared with The Telegraph how the siblings navigated the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic at home.
She said, “If things were kicking off inside, right from the year dot, I’d say: ‘Right… outside!’ You come back in again and the mood is entirely different. Louise would take herself off on her bike, and James is very self-motivated to get out, so actually, it was never a struggle.”
Both James and Louise looked very grown-up during the festive outing. James, who recently turned 17, wore a dark overcoat and tie, while Louise sported a double-breasted coat, a white hat, and pale-colored heels.
What is Lady Louise Windsor Up to Now?
Lady Louise, 21, is currently studying English Literature at St Andrews University in Scotland. She has also made history as the first female royal to join the military since the late Queen, enrolling in the Officers’ Training Corps (OTC), which offers paid military training to students.
As part of her training, she will complete Reserve Officer modules alongside her degree, gaining skills that will prepare her for a military career after graduation.
According to the UOTC, cadets receive a broad education, learning everything from uniform etiquette to leadership in stressful situations. Lady Louise, 16th in line to the throne, has expressed interest in pursuing a career in the military, diplomacy, or law, according to her LinkedIn page.
