A South African man, identified as Sbusiso Lawrence, has caused widespread outrage after allegedly murdering his ex-girlfriend, Nontobeko Cele, and posting graphic content of the crime on Facebook.
Lawrence shared a photo of Cele’s lifeless body, showing stab wounds and blood-soaked clothing, along with a video of himself, his face covered in blood, confessing to the act.
The shocking incident occurred in Durban on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, and the disturbing posts quickly went viral late that night.
The image shows Cele lying on her back with visible stab wounds on her neck. In the accompanying video, Lawrence attempts to justify his actions, claiming that Cele had “toyed” with him. He alleged that she became pregnant by another man while they were still in a relationship.
According to his confession, Lawrence said he had accepted the child as his own and supported them both, but their relationship ended when Cele decided to leave him.
The incident has sparked outrage on social media, with calls for justice and condemnation of the act.
