Princess Caroline bids emotional farewell to late mother-in-law as she’s supported by Pierre Casiraghi and Beatrice Borromeo.
She founded the Italian Entrepreneurs Association in Monaco and was the mother of Caroline’s late husband, Stefano Casiraghi, who tragically passed away in a powerboat racing accident in 1990.
Caroline maintained a close relationship with her mother-in-law until her passing. The sister of Monaco’s ruler, Prince Albert, Caroline later married Ernst August, Prince of Hanover, with whom she has a daughter, Princess Alexandra of Hanover.
Fernanda passed away at the age of 99 on 7 December, just a few months shy of her 100th birthday.
