A man named Mallam Mukit has been declared wanted for the alleged attempted murder of his friend in New Zango, Kabba Junction, Okene, Kogi State.
According to a Facebook post by a family member, Zainab Avosuahu, on Tuesday, December 24, 2024, the suspect is accused of luring her nephew into the woods, stealing N200,000 from him, and then slitting his throat.
The 19-year-old victim, who operates a POS business, is currently undergoing surgery in a hospital in Lokoja, while the suspect remains at large.
“I received a shocking call from my sister this evening that left me devastated. This is a plea for justice for my nephew, who was lured into the bush, robbed of 200k, and had his throat brutally attacked.
“He is undergoing surgery in Lokoja, while the person who betrayed him is on the run. We are actively searching for him. This is all the information we currently have, as the victim is unable to provide further details,” she wrote.
