King Charles’ Thoughtful Christmas Gift To Daughter-In-Law, The Princess Of Wales Ahead Of The Holiday Season

Although Christmas is still weeks away, King Charles has already given a meaningful gift to his daughter-in-law, the Princess of Wales.

Though His Majesty couldn’t attend the Princess of Wales’ “Together at Christmas” carol concert on Friday, he still played a significant role by donating the numerous fir trees used to decorate Westminster Abbey.

This generous gesture was acknowledged in the beautifully illustrated order of service that guests received. The cover featured a heartwarming drawing by Charlie Mackesy, and inside, there was a special mention of the King’s contribution: “With thanks to His Majesty The King for donating Christmas trees from Windsor Great Park to decorate Westminster Abbey. After the Service, these trees will be donated to the local community.”

The drawing depicted a group of people walking through the snow towards the Abbey, with the words “How did I help?” and “You were by my side, which was everything.”

These words reflected the theme of this year’s carol service, which celebrated those who have shown love, kindness, and empathy in their communities, as well as those who have inspired and comforted others.

The trees played a meaningful role in the service, with guests invited to hang special messages on the “kindness tree” located outside the Abbey. The tree was adorned with personal dedications to individuals who have demonstrated love and kindness.

A particularly touching message came from Kate’s youngest son, Prince Louis, who wrote a note to his grandparents, Carole and Michael Middleton. The message read: “Thank you to Granny and Grandpa because they have played games with me.”

The King’s thoughtful contribution was beautifully highlighted in the program, underscoring his ongoing support for the Princess of Wales and the festive occasion.
