The Kano State Fire Service has reported that fire incidents in November 2024 resulted in property losses exceeding N132,450,000.
The service also confirmed three deaths and noted that four lives were saved during various fire emergencies last month.
In a statement, Fire Service spokesman Saminu Abdullahi revealed that the agency responded to 43 fire incidents, six false alarms, and five rescue operations through its 29 fire stations across the state.
The statement further noted that the service successfully saved property valued at N310,600,000 during their operations.
Addressing the public, Abdullahi urged citizens to handle fire with caution, particularly during the harmattan season, to prevent avoidable incidents.
He also advised motorists to drive carefully and adhere to traffic laws, especially during the Christmas travel period, to minimize the risk of road accidents.
