Hudson Meek, the 16-year-old actor known for his portrayal of “Young Baby” in the 2017 film Baby Driver, tragically passed away following an accident.

On December 19, in Vestavia Hills, Alabama, Hudson fell from a moving vehicle and suffered blunt force trauma. He was immediately transported to the hospital but, sadly, succumbed to his injuries two days later.

Hudson’s mother, Lane Wells Meeks, shared the family’s sorrow in a heartfelt Facebook post, expressing their deep grief over the loss of their son. She described him as someone who accomplished so much in his brief life and touched the hearts of many.

In addition to his role in Baby Driver, which earned multiple Academy Award nominations, Hudson appeared in TV series such as MacGyver and Legacies, and starred in the film 90 Minutes in Heaven. He also did voice-over work for commercials, including those for Toys “R” Us and McDonald’s.

Hudson’s family shared that he passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones and “the presence of the Lord.” They also revealed that he had chosen to be an organ donor, ensuring that his legacy would continue by helping others in need of transplants.
