The Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh have paid a heartfelt tribute to the late Queen with their newly released 2024 Christmas card.
In the card, Prince Edward, 60, and Duchess Sophie, 59, are featured in two photographs.
The first image shows them side by side with a nostalgic photo of Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip from their newlywed years. The Edinburghs recreated an iconic moment from around 75 years ago during their visit to Malta earlier this year.
They posed facing each other in front of Villa Guardamangia in Valletta, the same location where the late Queen and Prince Philip lived between 1949 and 1951 while he was stationed in Malta as a Royal Navy officer.
In the photo from October, Sophie wore a floral skirt paired with a white blouse and Penelope Chilvers wedges, while Edward looked smart in a grey suit.
The Christmas card also includes a second image taken during a special occasion. In July, the couple marked their 25th wedding anniversary with a set of photographs shot by Chris Jelf.
The couple was pictured in the gardens of their Bagshot Park home in Windsor, with Edward embracing Sophie, who wore a tan suede ‘Tawnie’ biker jacket from Paige, olive green trousers from Galvan, and a striped knit top from Frame. For their Christmas card, they chose a photo from the same shoot, taken in a woodland setting surrounded by lush trees.
