Kim Kardashian has introduced her new Tesla robot on social media. On Monday, November 18, the SKIMS founder shared a video on X (formerly Twitter) showing off the futuristic robot.
“Meet my new friend @Tesla,” she captioned the post.
In the video, Kardashian, 44, asks the Tesla robot, “Can you do this? I love you?” while forming half of a heart with her hand. When the robot completes the gesture, she reacts with surprise, saying, “You know how to do that?”
Kim also posted a clip on her Instagram Stories where she teaches the robot how to blow a kiss and plays a game of Rock, Paper, Scissors, in which she wins. “You’re so cute!” she says as the robot blows her a kiss.
The robot is also shown mimicking actions like running, waving, and even doing the “Raise the Roof” dance.
In additional Instagram Stories, Kardashian reveals a second Tesla robot in gold, as well as a gold Tesla Cybercab, which has not yet been released. It’s unclear if these Tesla products are personal purchases or if Kardashian, who owns a Tesla Cybertruck, is simply showcasing them as part of a promotional opportunity.
Tesla’s CEO, Elon Musk, has stated that production of the Gen 2 humanoid robot, known as Optimus, will ramp up by 2026, with some units potentially in use internally by next year. Once available, the Tesla robots may cost between $20,000 and $30,000.
