Video: Fire Breaks Out At Radio Nigeria Lagos Office

A fire broke out at the premises of Radio Nigeria in Ikoyi, Lagos, on the evening of Wednesday, November 27.

The blaze, which started around 5:30 p.m., severely impacted the studio section of the one-story building.

The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) confirmed the incident through its official X account, advising commuters to avoid the area while emergency teams worked to extinguish the flames.

LASTMA posted:
“Ikoyi Fire Accident. Radio Nigeria is on fire while firefighters are already on the ground to put out the fire.

“Meanwhile, all the roads have been blocked for motorists to use alternative routes.”

Firefighters from Dolphin, Ebute Elefun, and Oba Oniru Fire Stations were the first to respond, with support from the Federal Fire Service, the Nigeria Police Force, and other emergency teams.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation, and no casualties have been reported.
