Singer Yemi Alade Receives First Ever Grammy Nomination in Best African Music Category

The Recording Academy has announced the nominees for the 2025 67th Annual Grammy Awards, set to take place on Sunday, February 2, at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.

The nominations, revealed on Friday, November 8, 2024, feature a lineup of renowned global artists across various categories.

In the Best African Music Performance category, Nigerian artists dominated, with all five nominees hailing from Nigeria.

Notably, Yemi Alade received her first-ever Grammy nomination for the prestigious award.

The nominees in this category include: Burna Boy (“Higher”), Tems (“Love Me Jeje”), Yemi Alade (“Tomorrow”), Asake & Wizkid (“MMS”), and Chris Brown featuring Davido & Lojay (“Sensational”).
