The Princess of Wales offered a festive teaser for her upcoming Christmas carol service just hours after revealing the event’s official date.
A behind-the-scenes video was posted on Prince William and Kate’s Instagram account on Wednesday, showcasing the creation of the elegant invitations.
Printed on cream card, the invites featured the Princess’s gold-embossed cypher, adding a royal touch.
The video caption read: “Something exciting is coming… The invitations are fresh off the press for this year’s Together At Christmas Carol Service, which will be returning to Westminster Abbey on Friday, 6 December. We can’t wait for you to join us too! Tune in on @itv and @itvxofficial on Christmas Eve.”
The Princess will welcome 1,600 guests to her annual concert at Westminster Abbey. The guest list includes individuals who have supported others, whether through personal relationships, work, or volunteer efforts.
Kate, who is gradually resuming her royal duties amid her cancer recovery, is expected to be accompanied by her family, including her three children—Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.
The evening will feature musical performances by Paloma Faith, Olivia Dean, and Gregory Porter.
Kensington Palace outlined the event’s theme, stating: “This year’s service provides a moment to reflect upon the importance of love and empathy, highlighting our need for one another, especially in challenging times.”
The Palace added: “Her Royal Highness wanted to honor those who support others in need—individuals who have inspired, counselled, comforted, and demonstrated that love is the greatest gift. The theme draws inspiration from the Christmas story, encouraging us to consider the experiences of others and the importance of giving and receiving empathy.”
