Princess Kate is gradually returning to royal duties, focusing on causes close to her heart. Last month, she made her first significant public appearance since announcing she had completed a course of preventative chemotherapy.
According to Robert Jobson, author of Catherine: The Princess of Wales, Kate is expected to make more public appearances, including international trips, but with a “less is more” strategy, selecting events with high impact.
“From what I understand, Catherine is doing well. She’s back at the gym and resuming activities she’s been looking forward to,” Jobson shared. “We’ll likely see her at more engagements and continuing her work behind the scenes.”
Jobson added, “Instead of constantly traveling across the country as she once did, she’ll likely focus on select, meaningful events. She’s prioritizing her health and a fresh perspective following her illness.”
Her focus will be on her family, while maintaining her commitment to key royal events. William supports her comeback, though not in a way that overwhelms her schedule, allowing her appearances to make a stronger statement by being selective.
An overseas tour is likely in 2025, potentially including a rescheduled trip to Italy requested by the Foreign Office. Jobson explained, “I expect they’ll do at least one tour next year, possibly to Canada or Italy.”
He added that Kate might undertake solo engagements to allow William to stay with their children. Inspired by the King’s enthusiasm for his recent tour, Kate will approach her duties in her own way. Her illness has given her a new outlook, with family remaining her top priority.
