Diddy, who dated Lopez from 1999 to 2001, reportedly attended a star-studded afterparty for the 2000 MTV VMAs in New York City. The photos depict a dramatic confrontation between the couple.
According to a Mail Online report, the pictures were taken at the now-closed Lotus nightclub on September 7, 2000. This coincides with a new lawsuit alleging Diddy s*xually assaulted a young girl that same evening, in the presence of two unnamed celebrities.
An anonymous attendee reportedly witnessed the argument, which resulted in Diddy leaving the party early with his entourage and several women.
“Diddy spent the entire time serving Cristal champagne to his guests,” the source stated. “Everyone was having fun, but tensions grew between him and J.Lo as the night went on.”
Exclusive photos obtained by DailyMail show a visibly upset Lopez confronting Diddy in the middle of the party before walking away.
These events transpired hours after the couple appeared together at the MTV VMAs earlier that night at Radio City Music Hall.
Lopez, then 31 years old, reportedly celebrated her win for Best Dance Video for her song “Waiting for Tonight,” according to the eyewitness. However, the mood shifted dramatically, leading to a public argument.
These photos resurface amid new legal accusations against Diddy, alleging sexual assault against a 13-year-old girl on the same night. The lawsuit does not mention Lopez’s involvement.
The new legal filing, obtained by DailyMail.com, claims Combs allegedly approached the young girl aggressively with an “unsettled demeanor” before assaulting her.
The lawsuit further alleges that another unidentified male celebrity also assaulted the girl while Combs and another unnamed female celebrity observed.
Combs has denied these allegations. His lawyers informed DailyMail.com that he “has never sexually assaulted anyone” and considers the recent lawsuits “blatant attempts to gain publicity.”
Attorney Tony Buzbee filed the lawsuit on behalf of the plaintiff in New York federal court last week. The filing details that the plaintiff, a minor at the time, attempted to sneak into the MTV VMAs event at Radio City Music Hall.
Buzbee has filed 12 lawsuits in the past week alone on behalf of alleged victims of Diddy, both male and female, who are seeking compensation.
